Our research combines the fields of biomaterials, drug delivery and immunology to formulate unique solutions for the treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions, such as transplant rejection, chronic rhinosinusitis, periodontal disease and more. We engineer delivery systems to locally deliver small quantities of immunological factors that are capable of skewing the immune microenvironment away from inflammation and towards immune homeostasis, reducing the need for systemic and non-specific treatment approaches.
